A humble Hindu place of worship
Located at the heart of Wanchai
Redesigned in contemporary classicism by SAI - Selvam Architectural Interiors. A small-scale but a mammoth of a task project designed and constructed in a record 27 days.

Welcome to the new Vaishali Mata Mandir
~ Hong Kong's most beloved Hindu place of worship.
Small in terms of size but with an immense auspicious presence.

Dedicated to the founding head priest, the late Maharaj Vishal Sharma, the lamps of the temple are kept alive by members of the family.

His portrait now hangs in a marble-top alcove centrally located in the newly renovated main temple gallery.
The Entrance HallwayThe main entrance portal of the new temple is guarded by a unique portrait of the mighty Hindu God, Hanuman - widely worshipped for courage, strength and protection. All architectural construction drawings were 'hand-drawn' for this project. No CAD was used.

Lastly, the temple kitchen where all the wonderful 'prasad'
(food offerings for the gods) is prepared.
